| Of special interest, is the new 2.4 c.i. F.P.E. engine. This small gasoline engine weighs only 48 ounces, INCLUDING the muffler and electronic ignition! The 2.4 was designed especially for the new large scale 1.20 - 1.50 ARF models, such as the great SIG CAP 231EX and the new SIG EXTRA 300XS, as well as similar sized models from other manufacturers. This engine, using a 20 x 10 propeller, provides a staggering 18 pounds of thrust at just 6800 rpm! This means that airplanes in the 10 - 13 pound range will no longer be vertically challenged. | |
